Artwork by Rex

Rex has carved two styles of pumpkins for Thanksgiving and Halloween. The style of each pumpkin is unique and requires people to look closely to differentiate it from a fruit. This is one pumpkin carving that will be appreciated by all ages. It is also a great gift idea for a friend or family member.

The process to create this pumpkin head started with a trip to the farm market to select the pumpkins. Then, using a Fordom, cut the ribs down to one eighth to three sixteenths of an inch. Then, finish the carving with a sanding tool. Now, your pumpkin is almost ready for Thanksgiving!

Once you’ve finished carving your pumpkin, place a candle inside and place a crown on top of it. If you’re planning on carving a real pumpkin, you’ll need a carving kit. A pumpkin carving kit comes with instructions for the entire process. Make sure to read the instructions before carving!
